** Gratitude is the best attitude **

“Gratitude is the memory of the Heart.” ~ Jean Baptiste

I understand that a a grateful state of mind can be hard to maintain. Ugh, it’s Monday again. Ugh, I am out of coffee filters. Ugh, Jersey Shore is a re-run. It takes a complete adjustment of the way in which we think and live to adopt an “attitude of gratitude”.  In simple terms, all you have to do is focus on what you do have and what you can change in your life instead of reminding yourself of the things you don’t have and what you can’t change. Sounds easy enough, doesn’t it?  Unfortunately Mr. Checkhov was right in saying “any idiot can face a crisis – it’s the day to day living that wears you out.”  So we get caught up in the monotony of our lives and forget that we are the ones with the power to think, feel and act how we want and ultimately we choose what kind of life we lead based on these actions.  So this week, and every week let’s focus on things little to big that we can do and that we are grateful for.

Our challenge to you, Mojo Lovers is to come up with 150 things we are grateful for! You can comment below with your list here on our blog, or post it on our Facebook page and be sure to number your list so we can keep track of all of this thankfulness!!! This will be going on all week and one lucky fan will receive a $40 gift card to MOJO as our THANK YOU to you for spreading your happiness!

Here is a little list of things that Mojo is thankful for to get you started:

1.) Family and friends – and friends that are family.

2.) My Health

3.) Being surrounded by Love

4.) Good music with great lyrics (click for a thankful tune by Miss Natalie Merchant)

5.) Laughter – all of it, anywhere, from anyone. (this clip will make anyone laugh!)

6.) The screetching sound my daughter makes when she hears my husband come home.

7.) The fact that my dogs know when I need them to cuddle up at my feet and nothing else.

8.) Memories. Good ones, bad, and everything in between.

9.) Traditions… even the ones that I thought I had grown out of.

10.) I get the chance to wake up every morning and have no idea what the day will bring but am thankful for each and every adventure that comes my way.

The word of the day today is *THANKFUL*

Say it at any Mojo for half off your entire purchase

Have a great week Mojo Maniacs!

And don’t forget to add an Ounce (or many ounces) to your order

to help fight hunger this Holiday season!

Why say no when it feels so good to say YES !

The Holidays are a comin’. Quickly.  I remember when I was a kid and that meant one thing. Presents, and lots of them. I would get out my JCPenney catalog and write word for word the paragraph long description including the height, weight and item number of all the goodies I wanted. And over the years, the times have changed as I have grown wiser and more mature. Well let’s be honest, I pretty much just got taller and now I can drive.  But seriously, watching the look on my daughters face when she gets something that she wanted so badly (last year it was a pillow pet… it’s a pillow AND a pet!) and worked so hard for by minding manners, having less than 27 crying fits in a day, taking her bowl to the sink, etc it really is magical. Now,  I really do get the whole “it is better to give than to receive” concept.  I mean really, what do we need? Food, water, shelter and Love. What more is there??

Sadly, there are Arizonans who are living without even these basic necessities.  There are over 857,000 people in our state living in poverty.  And MOJO wants to help.  From now until December 15th, you can add an ounce (or ounces) to your order which will go straight to St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance to help out those in need.  It is so easy and every little bit helps.

So let’s come together and show that giving spirit that our wonderful MOJO fans are famous for! Our Mojo team member will ask you at check out if you would like to add an ounce and that’s when you give a big smile and say “absolutely!” Last year we donated $1,000 to St Marys and this year our goal is $1,500!!! Every dollar donated will feed 7 people.

The word of the day is **YES**

as in “Yes, I would like to add an Ounce

of Mojo to my total to help fight hunger!”

Say YES for half off your purchase all day Tueday!

In the words of William Wallace “FREEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!!!”

John Booboo hates puppies and bunnies.

Harry McHarryton scammed his own grandma into a “get rich quick” scheme.

Bob McMeaniepants doesn’t forward the “touched by an angel” emails he gets from his own mother.

Doesn’t it seem like our candidates lately are more into how horrible the “other guy” is as opposed to how awesome they are?  Mother Teresa once said “I was once asked why I don’t participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I’ll be there.”

How about today we embrace the fact that we live in a country where we have the right to choose instead of focusing on why we aren’t voting for one person or the other?  This should be a day of celebration and gratitude for the men and women who fight to preserve this precious right.

The word of the day is **VOTE**!

Come into any Mojo location all day today

and say VOTE for half off your entire purchase!!!!
