WORD OF THE DAY TODAY IS ** BOOOOO **
SAY IT AT ANY MOJO LOCATION UNTIL CLOSE TUESDAY ONLY
Ahhh the magic of a mix tape. Just those two words together make me sigh and flood my head with memories. For those of you who don’t recognize the contraption in the picture above, this is a tape. Back in the day, we actually had to wait until we heard a song on the radio, bust it as fast as you could back to your room and push play and record at the same time to catch as much of the song as possible, while still sitting with your finger on the STOP button as to not get any commercials in. Times are a tad different now with the brilliance of the ipod, itunes, iphone where access to any song you want is just a click away. My friends and I still make each other mix tapes (which are actually CD’s) for special occasions like trips and birthdays but we will forever refer to these gems as “mix tapes”. They can take you back to a feeling, a moment, an emotion in a matter of seconds and will always make you smile.
Here is our challenge to you, my fellow Mojo Lovers. Create the Happiest Mix Tape possible. This means send us a list either on our Facebook Page, or make a comment below with ten songs that make you the happiest and can turn even the biggest frown upsidedown. The winner of this contest will be receiving Mojo delivered to them and their entire office!
Here is my list. If you get lucky, I might just make the winner a mix tape of my own!!
Three Little Birds ~ Bob Marley
These are Days ~ 10,000 Maniacs

And last but most definitely not least … I dare you to watch this without either smiling, bopping your head back and forth or tapping your foot with happiness!!
The word of the day today is **MIX**
Say it at any Mojo location all day Tuesday to get HALF OFF your entire purchase!!
Okay it’s October 12 in Phoenix, Arizona – quite possibly the hottest place on planet Earth next to an erupting volcano. This means our days of burning the first layer of skin off on seatbelts, parking a mile away from the store to get just one more square inch of shade and sticking our heads into the freezer on a daily basis are numbered. FALL IS HERE!!!! Bring back hot coffee! Bust out your favorite hoodie and beat up sweats! Eat on the patio at Filibertos again!!!
In celebration of the best time of year, we decided to give you some fun pumpkin crafts and recipes! Aaaaand as if that doesn’t make all your wildest dreams come true – it’s Tuesday which means that all you have to do is say the word **PUMPKIN** at any Mojo all day today and you get HALF OFF your froyo! Does life get any better???
This one is kind of a toughie, but if you are crafty and motivated, the final product looks absolutely adorable.
Are your little monsters too cute for words?? Well then kill two birds with one stone! Decorate your pumpkin and display their smiling faces at the same time. This one is very easy!
So the kids get to go door to door in search of “nummies”. But what about the adults?? I learned the hard way that it is socially unacceptable to trick or treat about the age you are old enough to vote … So here’s some help from our buddy from the FoodNetwork.com Miss Paula Deen. It is rated as “Easy” so give it a go!!
And now for the main event!! Halloween is the perfect time to sit back with your best buds and relax with some cocktails (while dressed as a Powder Puff girl). Check out what foodnetwork.com has in store for us in the way of “adult beverages”. It’s a fun departure from PBR and Boones! Enjoy and be sure to let us know how they turn out!!
There is a somewhat unmemorable line in the movie “Say Anything” when Lloyd Dobbler and his sister are talking about her super cranky mood. He turns and says to her “How hard is it to decide to be in a good mood and then just be in one?”
Her response is a sarcastic “Gee, it’s easy.” Side note: if you have never seen “Say Anything” or do not know who Lloyd Dobbler is, that is a problem to be addressed in an entirely separate blog post…. but I digress.
My point is this: why is it that we have to usually wait to be happy about something or wait for something great to happen to be in a good mood? Does it ever happen to you that you wake up and think to yourself “I know I was in a great mood when I went to sleep last night, what was I so happy about?” And then you have to try to remember a specific reason as to your happiness to try and recapture it? I know that there are plenty of viewpoints on the subject of happiness and how to be a happy person, but I have not found one that makes more sense than that of Mr. Dennis Prager in particular in his book titled “Happiness is a Serious Problem”. I won’t recite the entire book, but the basis of his philosophy is this:
* We are actually obliged to be happy because it makes us better people
* Achieving happiness is not easy, it requires a continuing process of counting your blessings and giving up any expectations that life is supposed to be wonderful
* Take responsibility for your life and stop blaming others
* If you can set aside your expectations suddenly everything good that enters your life becomes a blessing.
* Integral to happiness is appreciation. Unappreciative people are simply unhappy people.
Makes sense enough, wouldn’t you say? Being happy isn’t always an easy thing. Life gets in the way. Drinks spill, cars break down, screws fall out. The world is an imperfect place. (Anyone who can name the movie that line is from gets a gift card by the way)
But, if we change our thinking to sincerely believe that we are not entitled to a wonderfully perfect life but that we can appreciate what we do have and see them each as a blessing and not a foregone conclusion then we have made a huge step towards fufilling our own version of happiness and are well on our way to the ultimate goal of simply being better people.
So how does this translate into frozen yogurt? Simple. You can get half off your entire purchase by saying the word *BLESSING* all day Tuesday at any Mojo location. And don’t forget to count your blessings each and every day. Whether it’s for something as simple as a shoe sale, amazing as a new baby, as special as an old friend or as awesome as a discount at your favorite frozen yogurt joint.
