In the very wise and timeless words of Tesla, “it’s not what you got, it’s what you give.” For those of you non 80′s experts, get your first Tesla experience here and you will never be the same. Oh yeah and PS to those same non 80′s kiddos, Wayfarers and skinny jeans came far before you all (back then we just peg rolled regular jeans and they were just as awesome.) But I digress. Our last Office Party Contest was to enter your stories of random acts of kindness. We receieved an entry that was not only very deserving of winning the party but also was very touching and reminded us here at Mojo that there are always bigger things happening around us than we know. We are blessed to have such caring and selfless people giving their all to take care of those who need it most. It is this love that makes the world go round and without it, we would be lost.

Hi Mojo!
I just started working for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in June and have witnessed several acts of kindness in my office. Being the new kid, I am observing and getting to know people. When people think I’m not looking, I see them doing such kind things. Victor, our Patient Service Manager speaking to new patients who are scared and vunerable. Giving them a hug when others may be too uncomfortable to reach out. Pam, our Office Manager, taking the time to speak to a gentlemen who just lost his mother a month ago. She not only listened to his story, but empowered him by showing him how to volunteer and work through his grief. Our Team in Training coordinators who tirelessly try to raise money for research and spend their weekends at work. What I love the most is that we have patients that also come in to work with us. When they are down or ill, everyone reaches out. This organization loses members of its family every single day, yet still remains a positive place for hope for people who need it. I am humbled to work here and I love that I get to help raise money to save lives. Most of all, I love that I get to witness random acts of kindness on a daily basis, as it should be!
The word of the day today is *GIVE*.

They happen every day. Sometimes we are so busy and caught up in our own lives we may not see them.
